This a wonderful case demonstrating the above quote, well known  in the spiritual field. This client, a patient of my daughter, Padma Sripada M.D,  attended 9 of my classes (1), over the last 6 months.

“About six months ago I was diagnosed with Diabetes. It forced me to think about the way I was eating, and living my life. At about the same time, I also began to desire a closer and more consistent walk with God. I saw some information about C S (Suryanarayana Chennapragada) and his breathing techniques (1), and decided to contact him about applying the techniques to my life. I also wanted to find a way to be more focused in my thinking. Instead of having thoughts that flew everywhere, and went nowhere, I wanted to find a way to focus my thoughts into something constructive and meaningful.

I’ve been meeting with C S on a regular basis. I have found that the breathing modes, and focusing pointers, have improved my life in ways that are meaningful. I have grown spiritually and am able to speak with C S about thoughts and questions that I am interested in. Having times of meditation and quietness (2) has improved my well-being in so many ways – taking on better eating habits (3), relief from fibromyalgia pains (4), and being more aware of those around me. I look forward to continuing my journey toward a deeper well-being, and a closer walk with God. “

Her feedback two months after:
“My stress is reduced by 65%. Fibromyalgia pains are reduced by 35%. Focus improved by 70%. I have cut down on meat and white rice. I have introduced whole grains.”

(1) LEVEL I – Focusing on breathing
(2) She has very recently started practicing meditation, sitting quietly by herself. This is a big change from her past routine of being constantly busy.
(3) I have recently been reading several books on Nutrition and sharing their key points with my clients.
(4) She decided to avoid medications for Fibromyalgia pains.  Apparently the relaxation and better nutritional practices are reducing the pains.

* I lost 30 pounds in last 9 months and gained many other benefits

Feedback from one of my clients who attended 16 of my classes over last one year.

” I have been seeing C.S.(Suryanarayana Chennapragada) for all my health problems, since last one year. So far, I have seen the benefits such as:

  • I lost 30lbs. since last September (in nine months).
  • I have been eating a lot more healthy food than ever before, with a no red meat, a lot of fruits and vegetables.
  • My self-esteem has gotten much better and my marriage benefited from the counseling C.S. has given me.
  • I suffer from mixed connective tissue disease (Lupus) due to which I have a lot of problems when the weather changes. Due the diet changes I have made, I seem to have less pain in my muscles than I did before, on rainy days.
  • Practicing the breathing technique has enabled me to calm myself down whenever I get stressed out. I deal with problems better now than before.

I started seeing C.S. originally to quit smoking but had to tackle all these problems first before I could take on that problem. I plan to also try and quit smoking in the next year as one of my goals with C.S.

I would recommend counseling with C.S., to anyone, with weight, stress or health problems.”
